What it does not do
Risk Desk is alert-only. It reads your account activity and never places, changes or cancels an order. It does not know your firm's own rules, such as a trailing drawdown, so its limits are the ones you set. It is not affiliated with NinjaTrader or any prop firm, and it is not financial advice.
Questions
Do I need the PropCompass app?
No. Risk Desk is a separate add-on that runs inside NinjaTrader 8 on its own.
Which accounts can it watch?
Any account that appears in NinjaTrader, including simulator accounts and prop firm accounts connected through NinjaTrader.
Could it break a prop firm's automation rules?
It only reads your account activity and shows warnings. It sends no orders. Always check your own firm's rules for anything you run on your trading platform.
Can I try it first?
Yes. The same download runs in demo mode without a key, watching one account at a time. A licence key unlocks every account.
How do I install it?
You import one file from NinjaTrader's Tools menu and paste in your licence key. The steps are on the install and help page.
Is my licence key checked online?
No. The key is checked on your own computer, so it works offline.
Does it work on Mac?
NinjaTrader 8 is a Windows program, so Risk Desk is for Windows.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Your settings are saved in a small file in NinjaTrader's user data folder, and nothing is sent anywhere.
