The short version: your trading data stays on your own computer. We only hold what we need to sell you the software and send you your licence key.
Who is responsible for your information

What we collect and why
- When you buy: your name, email address, country and order details, which we receive from Lemon Squeezy. We never see your card details. We use this to issue and email your licence key, give you support, keep our accounts and meet tax and legal duties. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you and meeting our legal obligations.
- When you email us: your address and what you tell us, to answer you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the business and helping customers.
- If you join the founder list: your email address, to tell you when products go on sale. Our legal basis is your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
What we do not collect
- Your trades, accounts, journal, costs or anything else you enter in PropCompass, Risk Desk or Orderflow Suite. It stays on your computer.
- Your licence key is checked on your own computer without contacting us.
- This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
The software and the internet
- PropCompass, Risk Desk and Orderflow Suite work offline, and Orderflow Suite does not contact any website.
- If you press the update check in PropCompass, it asks our website for a small file saying what the latest version is. The only information involved is what any web request carries, such as your IP address.
- To show its text styles, the website and the PropCompass app may load fonts from Google Fonts when you are online. Google then receives your IP address. We plan to include the fonts in the software and the site so this stops.
Who else handles your information
We use these services to run the shop. Each handles your information under its own privacy policy, and some are based outside the UK.
- Lemon Squeezy takes payments, handles tax and sends your receipt and download link.
- Hostinger hosts this website and our email, including the support@usepropcompass.com mailbox we use to send your licence key and answer your messages.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep order records, including your name, email and licence details, for as long as we need to support you and for at least the period tax law requires (currently six years in the UK). Mailing list emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for as long as they are useful.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or take it elsewhere, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email support@usepropcompass.com. We may need to keep some records the law requires. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
PropCompass is for adult traders and is not aimed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
