Honest numbers for prop traders

PropCompass is built by a trader active in the prop firm space, who wanted straight answers about eval odds, real costs and where money leaks.

Show the method

Every result comes from inputs you can see, and the videos show them on screen.

Say what we do not know

Ranges, small-sample warnings and a clear note that a simulation is not a prediction.

No affiliation

Firm names are used for reference only. PropCompass is not affiliated with or endorsed by any firm.

Your data stays yours

PropCompass runs on your own computer and saves your data there. Your trades are never uploaded, and there is no account to create.

Frequently asked questions

Is this financial advice?

No. PropCompass is a simulation and analytics tool. Results describe your own data and the assumptions you enter. They are not predictions, guarantees or advice.

How is it sold?

As a one-off purchase for Windows, with a licence key. The founder price is $99 (RRP $300) and includes one year of updates. After that, updates are $19 a year and entirely optional. See the pricing page.

Which firms are covered?

Presets cover 11 futures prop firms: Lucid, Apex, Topstep, Tradeify, MyFundedFutures, Alpha Futures, TakeProfitTrader, TopOneFutures, FundedNextFutures, FTMO Futures and DayTraders, including instant-funded accounts. Each preset shows a last-checked date and where its rules came from. Firm names are used for reference only, with no affiliation or endorsement. Firm rules change often, so always check the firm's current rules before relying on a preset.

Which platforms can I import from?

Trade exports from NinjaTrader work today. Other CSV files work if they have a profit column and a date or exit time column.

Why do you not show Kelly or Omega ratios?

The Kelly fraction gives a theoretical bet size, but it assumes your win rate and payoff are known exactly. Small errors make it suggest sizes that are far too large, and prop firm rules such as trailing drawdowns can end an account long before the long-run maths applies. We show pass odds at different sizes instead, using the actual rules. The Omega ratio at a zero threshold is essentially total gains divided by total losses, which is the profit factor already shown. We keep to numbers that connect to your account rules and your own results.

Does it place trades?

The PropCompass app and the Risk Desk and FlowPulse add-ons never place, change or cancel orders. The PropCompass Orderflow Suite add-on can send orders to NinjaTrader, but only when you click the ladder, drag an order or press a hotkey you have set, and only after you switch click trading on. It is off when you first open it, and nothing trades automatically.

Does it work for live traders?

Yes. The Journal, Projection Simulator and AI Analytics tools work on any trade history. Firm presets and the Payout Simulator are aimed at prop traders.

How accurate are the odds?

A simulation is only as good as its inputs, and most traders overestimate their win rate. Using your real trade history, and reading the likely range, gives a more honest picture.
